A Guide to Our Design,

Design begins with conflict — with contrast, asymmetry, and the quiet tension between elements that resist harmony. Friction is not a flaw, but a condition that generates movement. Within that resistance lies the seed of possibility.

The process starts by creating unique situations — problems that do not yet exist. To invent such problems is to invite discovery. When the problem itself is original, the act of solving it becomes naturally creative. Innovation then arises not from seeking novelty, but from the sincerity of resolution.

Every overlooked detail holds potential. The unnoticed texture of a wall, the fold of a sleeve, or the rhythm of everyday life can all become materials for design. Nothing is too humble to be meaningful. Attention transforms the ordinary into the essential.

Humility is the foundation of awareness. To see clearly, one must suspend judgment and assumption. Observation, patience, and restraint reveal the quiet logic of things — how they want to exist, how they wish to be understood.

The practice forms a continuous loop: conflict generates problem, problem awakens awareness, awareness cultivates humility, and humility leads again to conflict. Within this cycle, design becomes both an engineering of form and a meditation on being — a search for harmony within contradiction.

This way of working echoes the rhythm of Chinese philosophy, where Yin and Yang coexist, simplicity conceals depth, and balance is found not in stillness, but in the constant negotiation between opposing forces.
